Amanda is a graduate of the University of British Columbia’s Master of Physical Therapy program. She has completed the Orthopaedic Division Level 3 post-graduate courses and is certified in Gunn IMS dry needling. She has spent many hours with renowned physiotherapist and mentor, Randy Celebrini, helping athletes transition from the physiotherapy clinic to the return to sport environment. She also has two publications in scientific journals: one examining overuse injuries in runners and the other a systematic review on hamstring strain prevention in sport.
Amanda has been working as a physiotherapist since 2007. She has a passion for helping people of all ages and abilities rehabilitate their injuries. She strongly believes in active, exercise-based rehabilitation combined with manual therapy, modalities and education about injury and injury prevention.
Amanda has worked as the physiotherapist for the Capilano College women’s basketball team – basketball being another of her passions. She played 5 years of university basketball and won a CIS National Championship with the University of British Columbia Thunderbirds in 2004. Amanda competed in many other sports throughout high school as well, including volleyball, track & field, diving and soccer. Before that she was a competitive gymnast. Emily is a Physiotherapist and Strength & Conditioning Specialist passionate on
empowering her patients to achieve their goals. She has earned a Master of Science in
Physiotherapy (MScPT) from Dalhousie University.
Prior to this, she graduated with a
Masters of Kinesiology (MKin) and Bachelor of Kinesiology (BKin) from the University of
British Columbia.
Emily has also completed training in Functional Movement Screen (FMS), Selective
Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), and is a Certified Strength & Conditioning
Specialist (CSCS) with the National Strength and Conditioning Association. She has
consulted with various university and professional sports teams at national and
professional levels, including teams and athletes in the NHL, MLB, CFL, and Olympics.
Emily embraces education and has been learning from mentorships with MLB
Physiotherapists, NHL Medical Staff, and Upper Extremity Orthopaedic Surgery clinics
here in Vancouver. Additionally, she has achieved Level 1 Orthopedic Manual Therapy
with the Canadian Physiotherapy Association’s Orthopaedic Division. She is continuing
advanced education in manual therapy to supplement her clinical skills with a special
interest in high performance and upper extremity sports, such as golf, baseball, and
hockey.
From a personal standpoint, she engaged in a wide variety of certifications. She has
coached competitive and leisure sailing and was a Taekwondo instructor as a black belt.
Emily is a die-hard Vancouver Canucks fan! She spends much of her available time
practicing her pitching skills, golfing in the backyard with her dogs Timber & Willow.

Mike Foster has been a physiotherapist in our community for the past 20 years, working with athletes at all levels of competition. Mike was a physiotherapist with the Canadian Senior Women’s Soccer Team for four years. He has worked extensively with professional athletes from a number of different sports, particularly soccer, hockey, football and tennis. He has a particular focus on the return-to-play of injured players. Mike has extensive experience with on-field rehabilitation, assisting athletes in their transition from the clinic setting onto the field of play. Mike has received his Fellowship in Advanced Manual and Manipulative Therapy. He is also a Clinical Skills Assistant within the University Of British Columbia’s Department Of Physiotherapy.

Liam graduated from the University of East London in the UK in 1992 with a BSc(Hons) degree in Physiotherapy.
He spent the next 11yrs working in NHS hospitals in London in a variety of setting, covering inpatient care on medical, orthopaedic, paediatric and elderly wards, and extensively in a busy outpatient department which he eventually managed.
Liam spent the next 10yrs working in a busy private practice in North London as one of the lead therapists.
Since graduating Liam has completed many postgraduate courses. These include acupuncture, muscle balance techniques (similar to Pilates), myofascial release techniques, trigger point work, Society of Orthopaedic Medicine peripheral joint assessments levels I + II, Mulligan’s techniques of NAGs, SNAGs and MWMs, strapping/taping, grade V osteopathic techniques and Upledger CranioSacral therapy. He was also lucky enough to study Gunn IMS under the guidance of Dr Chan Gunn himself!
Liam has worked with elite athletes from many diverse disciplines including boxing, kayaking, long distance running, body building, pole vault and snow boarding. He also provided physio to a division of the British Learning Difficulties swim team.
Liam moved to Port Moody from the UK in 2013 with his wife and two young children. The family has become fully immersed in the BC lifestyle, enjoying the great outdoors and becoming involved in local sports. Having completed multiple Tough Mudder/Spartan type events in the UK Liam has extended his range and now enjoys running ultra marathons on the trails and has completed the Penticton Challenge.
Liam likes to employ a holistic approach to assessment and treatment of his patients. While valuing comprehensive diagnoses he will allow treatment plans to be flexible to follow the progression of the injury and address new symptoms/issues as they present.
He uses a lot of manual therapy using a variety of techniques, ranging between deep tissue massage to very light touch subtle fascial gliding work.
